Win Double at Epsom
Epsom, famed for its hosting of Britain’s richest horse race, the Derby, has long been a firm favourite of commuters living in the town and working in London.
Recognising the under supply of housing in the Borough, the Council’s planning policy has evolved to become more supportive of higher density residential led developments, and two recent acquisitions in the town will help alleviate the housing shortage.
The site of the former Organ & Dragon Pub on Ewell Road, which extends to just under an acre, had been subject to a long fought battle between Supermarket operator Lidl and the Local Authority. Following the refusal of their application to build a new supermarket, we acted on behalf of a private property company to acquire the site from Lidl, where contracts were exchanged on an unconditional basis for £2,700,000. A new planning application will now be submitted for a residential-led scheme.
Hot off this success was the sale of Glen House on East Street, the former offices of Harbord & Co solicitors, which was sold on an unconditional basis to a residential developer.
We have strong requirements for further investment and development opportunities within Epsom and Ewell; please contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you can assist.
