PD Rights For Airspace Development
Building new floors on top of existing buildings has long since been a method of creating additional accommodation from previously developed sites. As of the 1st August 2020, this process will become more streamlined as some purpose-built blocks of flats will benefit from permitted development rights to be extended upwards by up to two storeys, to create new homes without the need for planning permission.
