Housing Association Requirements

The last few months have seen a series of mergers and takeovers between the major housing associations, as the social housing sector reacts to the Government’s introduction of voluntary right-to-buy for housing association tenants.

Notable changes include Peabody & Family Mosaic joining forces in a deal giving combined assets of over £6bn, L&Q’s merger with East Thames and Affinity Sutton & Circle Housing Group’s merger to become the largest HA in the UK.

The right-to-buy policy looks to replace every property sold under the scheme with a new one, which means these new organisations will be heavily focused on development of new schemes, something which Kingsbury are already assisting with.

We are retained by several Affordable Housing providers to acquire new sites across London and the South East, capable of accommodating 10 to 250 units, plus taking existing units which meet required standards.
