Since the introduction of Permitted Development Rights (PDR) allowing the change of use from offices to residential, Kingsbury have become market leaders in the acquisition, sale and management of PD schemes, an have already completed sales for in excess of 2,500 units across the UK. The last month has seen us conclude transactions on 3 more office buildings, which will now be transformed into housing.
- Parkview Campus in Bristol, a circa 230,000sq.ft. complex on a 17-acre site, formally occupied by Bristol City Council, has PDR to create 305 new homes, plus potential to develop the surrounding estate with further residential units, and was sold to a specialist developer of affordable rented accommodation for £24,400,000.
- Thomson House in Farnborough, the former HQ of Thomson Holidays, benefits from PDR for 145 units and was sold to a local developer for £12,250,000.
- Clifford House in Walthamstow, a characterful warehouse style office with PDR for 34 units, was sold to private developers for £3,450,000.
