Hackney Planning Permission Granted
Negotiating planning consents which maximize density and value is seldom a straight forward process, but with the correct strategy and a competent professional team, it is possible!
The former MFI retail site in the heart of Stamford Hill, N16 which extends to approximately 1 acre, was identified within the London Borough of Hackney’s development framework as offering potential for mixed-use development of up to 50 units.
In conjunction with architects Stock Woolstencroft and planners CMA Planning, we devised a scheme which comprises 80 residential units plus 8,500sq.ft. of retail and office space, which although exceeded the Council’s brief for the site, was of an exceptionally high quality and was ultimately supported.
Planning permission was approved at Committee on 2nd July 2014, with an obligation to provide 20% Affordable Housing plus various other financial contributions via a Section 106 Agreement.
We will continue our role as Project Managers for the scheme into the pre-construction phase, prior to the development of the site.
