We are instructed to coordinate the disposal of the former HQ of Thomson Holidays, a vacant 61,000ft² office building occupying a 1.1 acre site within Farnborough, located opposite the town’s man train station which provides direct trains into London Waterloo in just 37 minutes.
Planning permission has been approved to create 145 apartments via conversion and extension of the existing building (116 units), along with the construction of a new block in the car park (29 units). The scheme will create 93 x 1 bedroom and 52 x 2 bedroom apartments, all for private sale, extending to a total net saleable area of 90,663ft², with off-street parking for 170 cars.
This will be one of the largest development projects within Farnborough in recent years, and the apartments are expected to be in high demand, given the strong transport links and the more affordable price point than that of nearby Reading, Woking and Guilford.
