Focus on New Malden
New Malden, located within the London Borough of Kingston, is an area of South-West London where we have unearthed and completed some exciting development deals which will provide new homes and regeneration to the area.
The highly accessible location with journey times of less than 20 minutes into Central London makes this a popular place to live and can offer better value for money than nearby Wimbledon and Surbiton. The combination of transport links, good existing housing stock, plentiful town centre brownfield sites and an increasingly affluent population has seen substantial growth in New Malden, and the prospect of further growth and relative stability means that many developers and investors are choosing to focus on these more suburban areas as opposed to central London locations.
Recent projects within New Malden which Kingsbury have co-ordinated include:
- Acquisition of the 33,000sq.ft. former Tudor William department store for future development.
- 96-unit residential development of Lidl supermarket site, currently available for sale.
- Off-market acquisition of a commercial site suitable for circa 20 apartments where a planning application will be submitted shortly.
