508 New Homes for Watford

House prices in Watford continue to offer excellent value when compared to other towns with similar commutes to Central London.  According to recent figures, Watford’s overall average property price was £289,254, while Guildford in Surrey was £417,457; Sevenoaks, Kent, £566,579; and St Albans, Hertfordshire, £435,729.

As a result, interest from developers to be part of the on-going regeneration and improvements in the town is high, and our sale of  two adjoining sites on Sydney Road in the east of the town are typical of the high-profile schemes which are coming forward.

Following our sale of the 229 unit former laundry site to Weston Homes, we were appointed by the owners of the adjoining site to arrange a sale of their land too. The neighbouring site, which benefits from planning consent for a further 279 homes plus business space, was sold to private developers and will be the latest addition to one of the towns key regeneration areas.

Both transactions were carried out on behalf of private property companies and following short, targeted marketing processes, contracts were promptly exchanged for a combined figure in excess of £35,000,000.
