272 New Homes & Pet Hospital

Our full range of agency and consultancy services have been utilised in our coordination of a landmark scheme within Abbey Wood, adjacent to the new Crossrail station.

Having sold the former IMO car wash site on the junction of Eynsham Drive and Harrow Manor Way, we identified that the inclusion of the adjoining site owned by national charity The People’s Dispensary for Sick Animals, would significantly enhance the overall development potential.

On behalf of clients Definition Capital, we agreed terms with the PDSA to incorporate their site within a comprehensive development, which not only generated a significant cash receipt for the Charity, but would provide them with a new state of the art Pet Hospital.

Following extensive consultation, a scheme for 272 new homes, providing 40% Affordable Housing, was initially refused by Greenwich Council with the decision then “called in” by the GLA who resolved and approved the scheme, but in a further twist, the Secretary of State Robert Jenrick, then placed a “holding order” on the GLA’s decision, which was released (without explanation) following a further 6 month delay, meaning that planning permission could finally be granted.

Having now completed the acquisition of the various interests, construction will start on site in October 2020 and Kingsbury will continue their involvement in the project by progressing the Affordable Housing and New Homes sales.
